RCP Audio
this has turned out far more epic then i was thinking it would. this is just plain awesome PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/
Krakin
Great job man! If I recall correctly your teacher had assigned you this exact project? If so that is one great teacher. I would love to see you bring it back on work on it more. Assuming that's what the "V.1" was implying Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Chris Hammer
In for the bike tube surround, if you find a tube that the diamter is the same as the diameter of th cone you would be in business, and all you would have to do is split the tube down its circumference. 9Nails
That has to be the ugliest woofer that I'd ever want to build!!! hahaha! I'm only hatin' on the fact that I didn't get to do one of these myself! This project looks like a ton of fun! Great job on putting it together. I kept thinking, and you posted pictures of the build, how the house-hold items were fantastic finds and that duct tape would top it off. And you used duct tape for the surround. Amazing! Hurry, I'm sitting on edge waiting to see the video and hear how it sounds! =)
CaptainzPlanetz
This homemade woofer is probably louder and more reliable than a Boss Audio Sub ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. And that includes the trolls feeding the trolls. scooter99
What a great project. I can't wait to see what the video shows. I'm assuming you've already tested it by the "it bumps for what it is" comment. Good luck on your grade! A+ in my book! I know man, I can't find any this small though, needs to be about 12"-13"inch diameter, but the MAIN problem is attaching it. gluing rubber to the cone is veryyyyy difficult. I'll have to go buy some specialty glue/caulking/silicone probably, because hot glue and super glue have not worked out well....... Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room. I missed Alan. RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son. What if you take some 40grit or 60grit ROUGH sand paper and score the surface of the cone that you are gluing too. What is your budget for a tube, I know they make tubes that small.
