Getting the car alarm system put in on monday by a local shop that does prefab installs and basic hu and door speaker installs...ready to see thier reaction..and if they want a demo so far my responce to the demo's ive given has been that freaked out face when it that low note hits lol!! Just lovin it dunno why I never posted this vid but I made it sometime this week...camera couldnt stay focused for some reason. Again OM-1's move together now but are not calibrated :/ thats like a 2-3 hour job that really sucks! so for now I just dont care haha! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! Yes I am pushing these guys when I demo but I'm like 3-4 clicks on volume UNDER my max volume I set my gains, I set them to be clean at volume 28 and 29 would put me into clipping and so far the loudest its been turned up is 25. The last vid was at 24 and the previous was at 23. Certain songs I dont go all the way up to 25. HU max's out at 35 if that means anything. I am surprised at how much they move as well because they sure can stretch lol! But I swear on my life I haven't heard them bottom out. And subs havent got hot...slightly warm if that but not hot. amps stay around 90-110 for now because its winter but they can get up to 120-130 in summer I've been playing it safe since I got them put in and slowly turning it up over 2 weeks. Im going to run it how I have been(max vol 25) and if it seems to hold up to this abuse maybe go louder. Hoping this weekend to meet up with sidney from dc and give him a demo, and see what he thinks if it's about as loud as I should go with it or crank it up a notch lol! edit: the woofer flex vid is at volume 24 and the Micheal Jackson demo vid is at vol 23 Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez Posted November 10, 2014 Report Share Posted November 10, 2014 I used the smd dd-1+ and used a -10db track which is why I'm not planning on maxing out on volume because I think I should have gone with like a -7 or -8db track, but this is what I had. Helluva lot louder than when I set it with a 0db track lol!
