But wow thanks man! I have to say ever since I started being active on this forum I have stepped up my game and trying things I would'nt have because of seeing all these awesome rides! Like seriously I love this place because it makes me realize how little I know about all this stuff, soo much more to lean, and hey if I get any compliments from people on here its a true compliments because its from a true bass head, not just some random dude thats like...well, what's the point of all this? goodvibez Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Alright so here is a tip for anyone who has goo on their vinyl....wd-40...no joke. Had bedliner left on it from my last box rubbing on it. This was about 3-4 minutes of scrubbing with a paper towel soaked in it 5 more minutes with some kibal midwest(same thing best has a pina colada smell added to it so I used it to make my truck smell better) now onto better things screwing second baffel on then the testing the trim and a little round over action mixed with some light sanding and I'm ready to start the finishing touches btw had this big ass guy creep up to me while I was working...scared the shiz out of me....Ive had bigger but he's not small by any means! more action tomorrow Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 so figured out how i want to do my trim baffle piece...debated for a while on how I wanted it to flush with the subs and still be able to get the subs in and out with some ease...went through a few designs and figured this was the best...keep in mind I'm using carbon fiber on top and carpet on the sides so my vinyl seats can slide easier than wrapping the whole box in vinyl. This makes it so I have a nice tight flush fit around all the subs and can still take them out if I want and now it matches my two 5k's! Incase your lost this baffle trim piece is removable but when I screw all the studs in its not only a nice trim peice but it actauly add some strength to it...like I was supprized at how much it added because the bolts go all the way through and clamp all three layers together and yeah works great all the way around. Only had one issue and the middle studs lined up with my center brace which I couldn't but a t-nut on So I used one of these guys so this one is flush with the second layer and the rest go all the way through Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it.
