I don't know where you heard that about the caps but I ran caps without a rear batt no problem. so did Slamminbeats. Yes sir you can, my buddy Heath runs 10 banks on 2 crossfire 8ks with not a single battery in the car however I still recommend atleast having a small battery under the hood or in back as the caps regulate off a battery, or copy the voltage for lack of better term so if you don't drive the car for a few days and the caps aren't hooked up to anything they will start to drain. So you'd have to put them on the charger if not driving for a few days, kind of annoying if you ask me. I'd just run atleast a single battery so the caps have something to regulate off of.
