These would be better. About the same price.

Those are a 7" woofer though so make sure they'll fit. Pretty close to a standard cutout, but a touch larger.

These are basically impossible to beat for the price.

Well if you had CDT then you had some of the beasts of midbass out there. The ones you posted looked a little low on power handling but for the price try them and see how they sound.

would those work as the woofer in a 2 way component set or would they be better suited for a 3 way setup?

The rs180 that Taylor Fade mentioned would be better as a midbass in a 3 way but the silver flute would work well in a 2 way. Here is another recommendation for a beast of a midbass...

so if I tried to run the peerless you recommended or the dayton taylor recommended in a 2 way setup it would sound like i'm missing something? great low end but the midrange wouldn't really be there? I need to accompany them with anywhere from 3-5.25" midrange to make up for it? reason i'm asking is because i'm looking to replace my focal krx2 woofers because they are a little old and haven't been taken care of properly, i'm getting a weird clicking sound at high volume if I cross them below 100hz, and whatever I replace them with I want them to have more powerful midbass
