Any tantric build I've seen, the subs get hot and smelly. There was a guy who had 4 HDD 15s on 2 crescendo 5500s who got em hot after only a few songs... He did 57s.. But they got hot quick

I beat the shit out of my hdd's and the get hot or smelly, they'll get warm after an hr or so but not hot

I say it based on physics. Think about an athlete. A large football player has to be much stronger and use a lot more energy to run quickly than a track person.

Basically all I'm saying is that one should never expect a 24" high excursion woofer to play high. You wouldn't run vocals through a 10" sub. Same idea much smaller band

Yeah I'm not trying to trash talk just saying what I've seen. You also are under powering though correct? I feel like maybe they just don't have ultra conservative power ratings like some other companies

I dont think you are under powering nor do I think your box is inadequate. What I'm thinking is you dont have enough amps to keep up! how is your electrical..exactly!

Help me out here, explain to me your reasoning. If that was the case, I would absolutely see clipping, correct? And I'm not being a dick here, I'm legitimately interested. No pride left in this anymore lol, just wanna get it solved.

Just clamped it on the same music it's getting hot/stinky on. Uploading to Youtube and typing it up in about a half hour. I think it's going to hurt some feelings.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

Running around 2k each. Gains dd1ed at -10 dropping to 10.8-11.3v so I know they aren't always getting a clean signal.

DC Power 270A alt, Sears Diehard G75 under-hood and two G31's in back.

So I would see clipping out the amp right?
