Steve comment is his point of view, which isn't going to happen for the average joe. How many people have a free 100% ride and are so called sponsored as he put it. Look at his stuff and he even said "I am not sponsored". But if a company says we want to sponsor you and give this awesome discount, how is that not what it is? My point if view is just a little different.

I know of one circumstance where this applies for the average joe. A freelance writer who has contacts in the automobile industry. They send the writer free parts and ask for a write-up. Something along the lines of a review, how to or just an article about the product. I've seen it in the custom and aftermarket industry.

AMI, maybe thats where the term partial sponsorship comes into play? IDK

Ive been on a few sponsored teams before (not for car audio) and it was considered a sponsorship but was definitely not a full ride. Seems kinda like a pointless thing to argue though lol, but either way its awesome haha but not easy or free in the slightest

i wasnt asking for free stuff, i dont know where that word came into play. i just wanted to know how the people with 15 15's or 12 18's got their shit. i know they werent workin a minimum wage job and were like "hm, im gonna spend 30,000 on a system in hopes i can get someone to notice me". either way this topic is said n done i suppose. ive got what i needed to know from it. people feel free to post for other people wanting to know the same thing..

im in the process of uploading some videos to youtube right now. ill post either the links, or the videos if i can figure out how to..im not a pro at this website, only posted like 2 topics and been on maybe two or three times since ive had an account. so im still getting use to everything

i round up..which i konw i shouldnt when 2 dbs is a big difference..but 148 on termlab here at audiomagic soundshop in my hometown. and 250 for each sub, 400 for box, and amp was literally like 200. so 1100 isnt too far off 1000. people hit 150's with 2 8" sa's..so yes it is possible. and i didnt knock the trophies off by hand, if you had a system worth a fuck you could easily rattle trophies off shelves..

Kevin?

if i wanted to burn money, id go buy a couple o's and smoke myself retarded

Might be one of the reasons people weren't taking you seriously at first...

And some people do work minimum wage jobs to pay for all of their equipment. I know I do, and I've already bought a good 6k or so worth of equipment over the past year or two. But as others have said, do it over time and you just have to realize that it's not all going to happen at once. I mean it could for you since you're a baller with 7 g's sitting there. You could easily learn how to do all of the work yourself with some of that money (think of it as buying experience), and still have enough left over for a bad ass system.
