95neon_thumper82
so I installed a fan on my lil amp today perfectly done clean modification. made my spacers/stand offs and got it mounted and everything ready to be hooked up wuring wise... so I cut my zipties to free up the wires... and I hook up power, ground, and remote... I flip the switch on my remote wire AND NOOOTHING HAPPENS! I start to shit bricks. Thinking maybe I fried something. So i looked at my ground. made sure I reinstalled the main fuse properly. still nothing. I light up a smoke to think... after messing with it for a half hour. I realize that when I cut the zip tie... I also cut my remote wire! not all the way through... but the conductor was definitely not attached! lmno! I about cried for nothing. just a stupid newb story but I thought I'd share lmno! give some one a giggle maybe! <img src=http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w610/beastly666bassboy/IMG_9611192581855_zps9b9b76be.jpg border=0 alt= height="75" width="800"> Growing old is necessary... growing up is an option! Broke_Audio_Addict
Dont feel bad my first install I put a screw through my remote wire. It took me all day to figure out what was wrong. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. john253a
i went to mates place one, he just brought a new amp hocked it up and nothing, drove back to the shop, they checked it with a dmm, he unclipped it and they gave him another, he went home and refitted it, and the same thing, so i told him idd have a look, i put my dmm on it and thought maybe the amp, then i saw the (-) in front of the 12.x and relised that because his (+) and (-) were both brown cables he just put the pos and earth the wrong way around twice whats the odd 50% chance and both the same way
