Looking into more HP. I can either rebuild my motor or buy a complete new short block. Either way, it will be stroked, with new heads and the KB with maximum boost. I think the rebuild might be cheaper, but labor will offset the savings. What do you motor guys think?

New block. That way when the inevitsble happens and you decide to get rid of it you throw the other back in

I dont remember what all he did a while back but i think he had some headwork done before the sc and who cares about smog? Lol i know you guys in calli have to deal with that crap but over here in tx thats the last thing on our minds.

I'd take a 289 that revs to 10k over any sbc. Anyway, dumb comment considering if he gets a forged bottom end he can easily get 750 at the wheels!

And head work is not the same as getting 4 valve supercharged heads,

You guys arnt realizing he will be building a low compression motor with a ton of flow (intake exhaust, fuel) then adding a ton of boost to raise the compression...
