jfoodstamp
I just had my VM-1 installed in my car today. It looks great and definitely is a nice to watch as my voltage changes- lol. But here is my question when my installer put it in I told him to wire it to my rear battery distribution blocks so now when I shut off my car it stays on which is not a problem as for me being worried about it draining my batts. How will the Display hold up doing this?
CJ18
It needs to be wired into a remote turn on so that it will shut off when the car is turned off.
jfoodstamp
So should I just have my installer tie into the remote lead of my nearest amp to the rear battery?
tdsa23
Yes you can have it hooked into the amp remote lead. Skater229
That what i did with mine... Used the same connections (power, ground, and remote) on my main amp... Also found that i was dropping WAY to low... The Cig lighter is a easy way to do a quick check but I had a totally different reading once it was moved to the amp... jfoodstamp
Mine is Hard wired to the back battery terminal I just asked about needing a remote with it as well.
Lbox88
I wired the remote lead on it to my HU remote turn on. Don't need it running with the car off, not like I will be staring at it all night, waste of energy really. Quote UBL | Build Log
