bigboygmc Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Wazz up SMD forum, Looking to put big bass in my 09 gmc extended cab. My original plan was 2 -SD10's from sundown and maybe a 1500sax with stock battery upgrade. But i was wondering if its possible to go bigger? Maybe 2 SD12's and raise the back seat an inch or two. Just wanna know if its possible and if it would sound any better than 2 10's.. Any advice would be great thanks guys...
ToNasty Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 i think those seats are to low that would work in a nbs silverado 99-06 but anything after that there only like 3-4" under the seat. youll probably need to do a center console box ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers

Also.. i'd suggest a bigger alternator Whats the stock 130?

bigboygmc Posted July 18, 2013 Author Report Posted July 18, 2013 thanks guys.. I was just wondering if it would fit. I dont wanna do the alternator just yet more than likely i will order a XS battery. Since i was buying parts i wanted to make sure i could max out the truck. So i think i might have to stick with the 10's.
Bradprobert Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 What you trying to say n8?! Haha I know I'm not that loud but pretty loud for being under the seat. OP I doubt you will get the bass you're looking for without taking out the back seat or doing a blowthrough. IMO its easier to take out the seat than cut a giant hole in your truck. But, then again, our idea of big bass could be different than yours. Big bass around here is reserved for guys that are running 10s of thousands of watts.
