ArchAngelAlien Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Hey guys! First poster here. I have about 2 grand to sink into a real slammin system, something that can entertain/piss people off. I have read countless reviews and it seems the Kicker Solo Baric L7 15's are what I want to go with. I want to go with 2 of them in the best box I can find, still not sure on the box though. I am putting in a new deck that is double wide, that will allow me to play dvds and play music videos from youtube, ect. I plan to install this system in my lifted 1995 Chevy Silverado 1500, but it looks like I may have to remove the back seat to be able to screw the box to the floor, which I am okay with since I Can't find a sub box with enough depth for the kickers that fit under the back seat.I have no idea on ohms, amps or any of that technical stuff. I plan to buy the parts myself, but have it all professionally installed somewhere. I need some help from some car audio entusiasts! I want something that will shake cars next to me and set off car alarms. I want deep, truck rattling extreme bass that will get me pulled over for noise complaints. I want to go go big!
Sergeant_Skyrim Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Not trying to be a dick but your goal shouldn't be to piss other people off or get you pulled over for noise complaints. Those are the sort of people that give bassheads a bad name and why certain areas are trying to ban 'boom cars'. If you're looking to actually join and become a part of a respected forum then I just suggest that you try not to be 'that guy'. There's plenty of stuff to learn and you can have fun doing it, no need to actively try to piss other people off lol. That being said, I'd start by doing some research on the different parts of a system, mids and highs, amplifiers, wiring, batteries, subs, enclosures etc. You can save A LOT of money by learning how to do this yourself and then doing it versus having somebody else do it for you. Not to mention it's a lot more fun once you get to know how and why different things work in the realm of things! Build in progress
ArchAngelAlien Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 I just had 2 new door speakers installed with some new tweeters. I am not really interested in anything but a box, subs and an amplifier. I just want to have it professionally installed somewhere, and forget about it once it's all done and ready. As far as batteries are concerned, I have seen tons of systems on youtube without a battery for power. I just want a simple box, 2 15's and an amp. If I had to I will get one of those little converter boxes that powers the amp or whatever. I am really just looking for a solid parts list, so I can pay somebody to install it. I am a very busy person I am not here to really learn how to do it myself honestly.

Skullz Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 2G ain't enough when you get it professionally installed as that can cost as much as the gear, so your budget is actually half of what is needed for your dream system. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

jarrius Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 As they said above 2k for a " professional " install is not enough. I was at my local dealer and they wanted 4k to hook up 2 amps and 2 sets of components and 1 woofer in a prefab box. And don't be the dick that gives the rest of us bad names. You want to be loud fine don't disrespect people when you drive or just plain be a dick. Now for 2k just for speakers and amp (not including electrical you will have to do) Soundqubed hdc3 duel 1's 15 $279.00 a piece (not including shipping) Since you are new and should not over power them the soundqubed 2200d will work at 429.00 Then you will pay 300 for a custom box So just that with no install is 1287.00 with shipping 1400.00 or so Now electrical that you WILL need. I was told double what you spent in the system and that's your electrical. So alt batteries wire fuses fuse holders connections and a tone of other stuff you are looking about 4k for your piss people off system just in gear alone 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
