Hey guys,

My front dash speakers (stock 4x6) unexpectedly blew the other day, and rather than just taking them out I decided to cheaply replace them. Let me make this clear, in now way shape or form was I planning any sort of upgrade. I'm planning a wedding right now an am in no financial situation to spend $100 on a decent set of coaxial s. so I bought a set of scosche hd 4x6's from Walmart for 20 bux just to have something to get me by, but I haven't installed them yet. They will be running off of my hu, and I'm wondering if its even worth keeping them. Will they last/not blow? If I return I will not put anything in that speaker location until I can afford a $100 set or so. What do u think?

I would rather return them and get something cheap off parts express, those scosche speakers are about as bad as the shitty speaker they put in toddler toys.... and that's an insult to the toddler toy speakers.

I mean, what is $20 to you? If $20 is worth returning it, then return em. If it's not worth the hassle of returning, don't return em and just try them.

For cheap components though you can also look at Cadence on AudioSavings, they have some pretty cheap sets there that sound good and get decently loud, for the price tag that is.

I've been happy with mine. The tweeters can be a bit.... bright.... but I like 'em, I just filter down my high end.

Found these for not much more.
