Sundown X-6.5SW Video and Pictures

Recommended Posts

Third prototype is done -- specs coming in between the first two prototypes. The box model graph is essentially identical to the original. Hopefully I have reached the perfect balance of mechanical durability and response -- should have it after new year some time in my hands :)

Response_Comparison.jpg

Gray is the first prototype I published spec on which was a bit too soft.
Yellow is the 2nd prototype that was way too stiff.
Green is the 3rd prototype that I hope achieves the best balance.

That does indeed look impressive. At 300-400w thats pretty stout too.. I guess it just comes down to what you need. At roughly the same price area as say sa8s or an e series woofer heck even a sd series or a used sa.. itd be hard to justify imo if you had space to get a 6.5 as opposed to an sd 12 or something.

But boy would this do wonders for all those people with next to no space at all. Or something looking for a tiny install.

I understand theres got to be alot of $ invested into all the r&d for this.., but it say you could purchase these for 70 bux or something thatd be like holy crap selling like hot cakes or something.

Maybe if I did a wall with like 50 of these we could arrange a price break lol.

Good stuff.

Unfortunately I simply cannot sell them for less; I use a formula equal to my cost * a percentage to come up with all of my pricing. I calculated this with no tooling or R&D put into the cost either -- so I am simply making less on the first batch to cover those costs. I had to use the most expensive factory we deal with to get these made to work the way I want as well.
