Vince said himself that the ending was rushed to fit everything into the last season and that the finale wraps everything up and leaves no questions nor interpretations on how it ends. So what you saw is what you got. And just to poke a hole in that theory, the author states that Walter dies in the snow covered car. Nothing in the show indicates that Walter even had a chance of dying in that situation. Also, the writer says that after he is dead/dying, it is Walter's fantasies of killing the Nazis and saving Jesse being played out in his own mind. However, Jesse becoming a slave was before Walt was supposedly "dying" in the car. Walt had no idea Jesse was a slave for the Nazis at that time, he just believed that Jesse was working for them as a partner. If it was truly just all in Walter's mind then how could he have possibly know that Jesse was the Nazis' meth slave? Simple. He didn't. Vince just wanted to wrap everything up for the fans and didn't have much time to do it so it happened fast and not entirely "realistically" (hell its a damn tv show). I loved it though.
