Stock primary batt. AQ3500.1D Can ANYONE help me in the direction of finding an H/O alt...looking for at least 300A...I do not know how to go through mechman, I've contacted DC Power and they don't have any, nor did they sound like they would anytime soon...Thanks in advance Pioneer DEH 80PRS HU Ascendant Audio SMD 18" Audioque 3500.1D XS Power D3100 Rockford T1 components Rockford P400X4
BboyTaktix Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 go to mechman's site (look them up on google to find it) and then fill out a custom quote form. If they don't respond in like a day, send them a message from their website 'contact us' tab, they got back to me in a day. They should have what you need for a reasonable price. 2018 Golf R - Stealth SQ system build - C508GTI front (active), 2x Pioneer Z10LS4, Zapco DSPZ8, Clarion DPX11551 (Mono amp), Pioneer GM-D8604 (front stage amp), Pioneer GM-A3702 (rear fill amp) SOLD! 2011 Subaru STI - 'modest' passive sq system - JBL p660c component (front) JBL P662 (rear) JBL W10GTI (sealed enclosure) 4ch JBL GO1004 (150RMSx4), Clarion DPX11551 mono amp (+-1200RMS@3ohms)
AASMDBASS Posted August 15, 2013 Author Report Posted August 15, 2013 I have done that and just received and email back yesterday, they do not have an alt for that vehicle, but they said they can get one but if have to make a custom bracket...looking to get a direct fit one...this really sucks Pioneer DEH 80PRS HU Ascendant Audio SMD 18" Audioque 3500.1D XS Power D3100 Rockford T1 components Rockford P400X4
BboyTaktix Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 heh ...? you have some input you would like to share? because he (and I) were both looking for options so input as opposed to 'heh' would help. Looked into DC alts, they look great but start at $449 for my vehicle and really, I don't need to spend $500+ (with shipping etc) when I only plan on running 1000-1200RMS MAX. Maybe OP is willing though, not sure how much power he plans on running and the budget he has available. 2018 Golf R - Stealth SQ system build - C508GTI front (active), 2x Pioneer Z10LS4, Zapco DSPZ8, Clarion DPX11551 (Mono amp), Pioneer GM-D8604 (front stage amp), Pioneer GM-A3702 (rear fill amp) SOLD! 2011 Subaru STI - 'modest' passive sq system - JBL p660c component (front) JBL P662 (rear) JBL W10GTI (sealed enclosure) 4ch JBL GO1004 (150RMSx4), Clarion DPX11551 mono amp (+-1200RMS@3ohms)

And they don't seem to have it, for me and for OP. Ex; why would I buy 4-gauge wire from mono amp to subs if I would be more than okay with 10 AWG for 1/4 the price? I am willing to spend money if the item is what I need. 2018 Golf R - Stealth SQ system build - C508GTI front (active), 2x Pioneer Z10LS4, Zapco DSPZ8, Clarion DPX11551 (Mono amp), Pioneer GM-D8604 (front stage amp), Pioneer GM-A3702 (rear fill amp) SOLD! 2011 Subaru STI - 'modest' passive sq system - JBL p660c component (front) JBL P662 (rear) JBL W10GTI (sealed enclosure) 4ch JBL GO1004 (150RMSx4), Clarion DPX11551 mono amp (+-1200RMS@3ohms)

Ben Fultz Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 With the power your running (1000-1200 watts) and a 220 amp alternator(stock alt), a upgraded under hood battery and maybe another in the back you should be fine without a aftermarket h/o alt. Edit: this is for BboyTaktix
