bassman619
Can 3/4 inch mdf withstand a 15" t2 sub or will the sub tear up the mdf?...do I need to double it up? rockFord_Expedition
If built right it will be fine. If not, then it won't. Quote Old School/New School RF Build March 2015 SOTM Winner How to crimp large wire

Sergeant_Skyrim
I don't understand what this question has to do with DC Sound Lab, but it should be fine. I wouldn't put it in the middle of the panel though, probably closer to the edges where it's a big stronger Quote Build in progress
bassman619
Whoa particle board?.ive used it to mount cabin speakers but I stay away from it to make sub boxes...to me its too weak and too porous...not very good resonance..the reason why I ask if I need to double it is because I had a 4.8 cu ft box that was 1.5 inch thick and I had a 12" memphis mojo in it..come to find out it was the 4 ohm version so it was wired to two ohms. Guess I was only pushing 750w outta my 1 ohm stable 1500w amp ..and guess what the damn sub tore that box up afte 4 yrs..mojononly wieghs about 40lbs but tbis 15" t2 sub wieghs about 65lbs..and its the 2ohm version so ill be pushing the full 1500w rms..I just dnt want to have to rebuild this box..hahaha Quote You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
DylanBunch
My t2 15 only weighed 53, I had it in 2 boxes over the time I had it, both without bracing and only a single baffle all the way around. You should be fine, but if its worrying you it cant hurt to do wooden dowels for bracing Quote 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
