Facekicker
Wow! Bet you guys bitcoins won't be around much longer I'll bet on the opposite. Silk Road is not Bitcoin. Silk Road was an illicit trading site. Bitcoin is a currency, it exists, and it will continue to exist. Value will rise immensely before it's time to trade out of the Bitcoin scene. I'm currently hashing around 20GH/s with 900GH/S in equipment coming. 2002 Monte Carlo Started a build log Fi, DC, Mechman, XS Power

TylerParrish
Because the Silk Road was shut down, you can believe the worth of those bit coins is now dropping though as that was the majority of what they were used for. inm
BitCoin Mining on a desktop PC is pointless nowadays. It costs you more in power to mine than you actually make in BitCoins. bcpballer64
I still don't understand what bitcoin mining is. Can someone give a very simple explanation. The way I understand it is that you use your computer or other computing hardware to solve very complicated equations to find a solution that meets certain criteria. And when you "solve" or meet the criteria of a bitcoin it timestamps it. then when the global ledger updates whoever has the earliest time stamp is credited the bitcoin "The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -- (Thomas Jefferson)

CHEVY4X4BLAZER
I'm intrigued. What does redandwhite represent? Canada? ?? I just thought it was a user? In reading the article, it suggests that there is an obvious connection to something/someone that should NOT be in that part of the interwebz. Like a "not so undercover" cover. I think.
