I am using a pair of these from my alt to the battery, while not cheap they allow me to re use them if the need ever arises.

ding ding ding, one of the best reasons for using them, they are reusable. For us car audio guys seems like most of us are constantly changing something or another. I wish they were thinner but meh, I have a crimper and rolls of solder I use though

They are the only mechanical wire lug i will ever use due to the fact that the set screw is so large and will not strip out like a car audio specific one would.

EDIT: Make sure to tin your wire before ever using open and closed ended mechanical lugs.

It's just something else that you'd have to check every so often to make sure it hasn't came lose.. No thanks and especially at the prices they want

This right here. It would suck having to go through and tighten these every so often.

And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle ;)

Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth..

if you can afford them I would get them because they are reusable and pretty easy to use. if not, you can buy regular terminals and solder them.

that's true that's the only bad thing kinda like my sub im having to take it every so often to check the speaker terminals so I was thinkin about putting a tab of silicone around it to stop from coming loose
