Michael Scott Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_26139_Rockford-Fosgate-T1500-1bdCP-2010-Model.html Getting this Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bdCP amp and I'm not sure which pair of 15" FI subs to get with it. All of them are within my price range except for the SP4 series. http://store.ficaraudio.com/speakers/ I ask because it seems like I've read that you should closely match the RMS of your speakers to your amp. I really like the Q15's but I'm worried that they'll be underpowered as their RMS is 1500 watts and my amp will only put out about 1700 at 2 ohms which would be split. I want to put them in a ported box and they'll be accompanied by 4 JBL component speakers powered by a Rockford Fosgate T600-4. What options should I select on the sub? And if someone could tell me what size and port tuning to use that would be great too. Thanks in advance!
TeamHT Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 If I were you, check to see if you have a local dealer for Ascendant Audio (same company) and grab two AA Chaos. Simply pm bkolfo4 to check your zipcode, if not then order online at http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/categories/sub-woofers/ascendant-audio.html Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Skullz Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 I would pick the X's as they'll closely match your amps power rating, but if you want a bit more you could go to the ssd's which are an excellent choice as well. Each sub near the bottom of the list of parameters has recommendations on box size and tuning for the sub. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
basskc Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 personally i would wire the amp down to 1 ohm which will put out 1900 before box rise and put them on 2 F.I X SERIES 15s depending on your vehicle X series perfectly match your amp power wise

Skullz Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Get the D1's so you can wire them down to 1 ohm. The options allow for greater cooling and power handling abilities. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
