lupetremill Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 i recently installed 4 15's in my truck its knocking hard, only thing is... i can barely hear the songs cause of so much bass xP. i tried fucking around with the stereo EQ but didn't work as much, messed around with my high's amps but didn't do much. and i have some Rockford Fosgate side speakers and tweeters they sound good. but i still cant really hear the song. I have heard of these "super bullet tweeters" i checked them out and they look good. but before i buy something i want to know of some good tweeter brands (not to expensive). any suggestions please?

Only the frequencies above 2-4kHz are played by tweeters and i'm pretty sure that's not the frequencies you are lacking at. Super tweeters are useless in a car, they only work the way they are intented to above 5kHz, so you'll need another tweeter to play the lower frequencies. lupetremill Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 what do you mean consist of? i am just trying to listen to the vocals/music better. right know i have some rockford fosgate they work pertty good but what i dont like is that i cant hear them that well, so is there a way to listen to it better? one of my sides speakers already blown because the bass goes up when i turn up the volume. later on i will have to get a equalizer for only my side speaker to take out the bass from them.
SnowDrifter Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Chances are you'll need more than tweeters for 4 15s. Tweeters do things like: making the pick on the guitar, or cymbals on the drums clearer Do you have a 4 channel? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

john253a Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 What speakers do you have And not just rf's Size and type Are you willing to change? For 4x15 on say 2k (because you haven't said yet) Off the idd say you'll want atleast 5-700rms worth of mids and highs Idd start with 2 sets of comps up front on 3-400rms (75-100rms each) And if you run surround a single coaxel or comp on 50-75rms

I mean you don't only need new tweeters, the most important thing is the midrange to hear the music properly. Just list ALL your equipment. (maybe pictures of how the mids and tweeters are installed?) Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

There's several ways to filter the frequencies but you will blow tweeters all day if you send a full range signal to them.
