Cox Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I was wondering if anyone knew of a good front stage that will sound good off of just HU power. Just have to much on my plate right now to get a new amp, and set everything up, but want some clearer sound Kenwood Excelon x396AQ2200Fi Q 12XS D3400 XS XP30001/0 RADAFLEXStinger volt meter Mechman 240a alt
David Bailey Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Good luck. If you have to, get some that take low power, and just don't run them to loud or they will distort. White Lightning Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 for radio power ... You might have better luck with coax speakers (alot easier to install) integrated into your system ... Swordlordboy1234 Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 My polk mm 6501's with a 2.7 ohm load help draw more power out of the head unit. I have mine on over 150 watts, but they are loud and clear. in a perfect world hertz hi energy would be the way to go. but assuming you dont have the 500$ for them, and assuming you dont have the 200+ watts to give them.. mine is a good option. Used you can find them for less then 150, including mine. New they run just about 200. And they dont have astounding mid bass but besides that ive gotten nothing but compliments on how loud clear and accurate they sound. Even from SQ guys. gattiboy13 Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Efx coaxials or cdt classic coaxials.
BobbyG2 Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 It's going to be close to impossible to keep up with your Q 12 on 2200 watts on deck power without an amp. Maybe PA speakers? Most efficient component set I can find with a short search is the Infinity Kappa's http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13969_Infinity-Kappa-60.9cs.html *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
