The right cap on goof electrical and installed correctly has been shown to be a benefit. Although I doubt you would be able to find a good enough cap for less than a second battery.

As everyone already said big 3 in 1/0 gage wire. Run a 1/0 run back to 1-2 batteries in the trunk and from them use the proper gage wire for the amps. Also remember to fuse every wire accordingly.

Edit: that's a lot of power off a 130 amp alt IMO.

Are you excessively clipping? I know when I hard clip I'll drop basically an entire volt.

I would like some legit proof from someone in the thread that playing below 12v, 13v, 14.4v or whatever some claim is actually harmful to amplifiers. And no "it makes teh signal dirty" is not proof.

Everyone always says that low voltage is bad for amplifiers, but never actually explains why.

Now batteries, I can see why you wouldnt want to go below 12.

do big 3 then get a ho alt I don't why no one said anything I would get a ho alt before a second batt a 200amp alt should be fine then get a second batt.

here the list that I would do:

1/0 wire

big 3 with 1/0

ho alt

replace hood batt

add second batt.

if you have to add a third batt try getting a bigger alt then 200+amps first.

Ill get around to doing the big 3.

This is a split second it drops to 9vlts then goes back up. Again it's if I'm seriously bumping!

I will be removing the cap.(which I think is my problem) it's the cheapest part in the build.

The patherfinder has a 3.3l so I'm thinking it's like a 90amp alt.

I'm advance guys I'm VERY new to the game. This is just a simple build from a 19 year old who father brought him up on rockforge who is no longer around to help out when it starts to get serious. Haha
