BigManAC Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 I just got done making door pods and used some 6 gauge I had to run for power hooked up while I am waiting on my new power wire to come in. I have to power on the front bat and the ground is the same as the ground I use for my SQ2200, but for some reason I have a ton of engine noise coming from the amp. We thought maybe is was the RCA's so we swapped those out but the noise was still there. Anything I could have missed? The amp is a SSL 400.4 (just bought it to run a small sub in my room) and I will be getting a MB OA800.8 soon 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

BigManAC Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 It's a Sony MEX-BT4100, although I've never had this problem with it. And as soon as I take the RCA's out do the front amp there is no more noise. As soon as my new wire comes in I'm gonna take up my carpet and re run everything 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

BigManAC Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 I might have a rear in the speaker wire I ran for the subs and I will check that when all the new wire comes in. I took the positive and negative to the SSL and hooked it stright to the rear battery positive and negative. Pulled the speaker wire out so they were by themselves along with the RCA's and still had noise. I'm thinking now it's the amp bc I got it for $35. I honestly don't know what else it could be. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
