Guv
So my setup consists of an xs power d3400 under the hood and an xs d3100 in the trunk. The 3100 has 2 grounds that are on some metal in the trunk, but I found that these are not good enough grounds. So I plan on running 2 runs of 0 gauge from the negative on the 3400 in front to the negative on the 3100 in the trunk. Is this all I need or should I keep those 2 grounds in the back as well as the 2 front to back runs. Thanks
justin0943
you don't have to run wires to the back battery just ground them to a solid metal or frame but alot of people due one run to front to back and the back batt run an extra to a frame or something solid metal.lesson here the shorter the grounds the better. 02 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 3rd gen 2 sundown sd-2 d4 soundstream rub1.2500 amp all sky high car audio-fuse,fuse holder, wire, ring lugs and rca flex tech box design by Joe X supension-mcgaughys 2in drop spindal ,western chassis 6in flip kit, buddy custom c-notch 04 5.7l hemi motor swap and made it an slt eletric everthing youtube channel-http://www.youtube.c...43?feature=mhee http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190882-02-dodge-ram-1500-3rd-gen/

S15_Silvia
Ground wire from front to rear batt is not strictly necessary as long as the chassis grounds have VERY good contact to bare metal. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. JamieHoward
Screwing into the metal just doesn't cut it either. I like to run a bolt as well as a nut to make sure it's solid. Especially with sizes 1/0 or bigger.
Kyblack76
Same. I like to thread the drilled hole, then, run a stud through it, THEN, add eyelet, and bolt/wish lock, or no spin washer. Secure, and making contact in 58 ways. Also, dunno about your vehicle, but i found, BIG BIG difference in material thickness through out my frame. I found a boxed, and trussed section, and went there. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
