Real96SS Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 What Org and what classes? Without those all we can tell you is ask questions before the show. Make sure the judge knows your new and they will help you out. Jbarrera93 Posted October 17, 2013 Author Report Posted October 17, 2013 They weren't too specific when they announced it, just said different categories and they didn't specify the org. 2001 Chevy Blazer LS Kenwood KDC-HD552U 2 12" SDC 2.5 D4 Fi SP4 18" 4 Sundown SA-12's HiFonics BE 1200.1 Soundstream RUB1.2500D Looking for a 5k XS Power D3100 4 Soundqubed 6.5's (Pro Audio) 2 Soundqubed 3-Way 6.5's 2 Soundqubed Super Tweeters
kl0wn Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 I'm assuming it will just be local rules then if they didn't specify an actual organization sanctioned event. First thing to remember is to stay calm, sometimes adrenaline gets pumping when you get up there on the meter in front of a lot of people. Hell, still happens to me sometimes, just remember to be calm. Talk to the judges as soon as you get there, or whoever is hosting/doing the metering. Ask them if you can get a practice run or 2 in before the competition starts so you can find your peaking frequency and do a test or 2 before the competition actually starts. A lot of time they judges will work with you, as said before just let them know your situation as being new to competing. 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz

pioneerforlife Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 My first comp was this summer and I was pretty nervous for it. But it all turned out really well even though I didn't win anything. I met some great people and had an awesome time. When you get there ask around. People won't hesitate to help you out. Once you get there everything is pretty straight forward. Watch other people in the lanes to kinda get a grip on everything. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

Jbarrera93 Posted October 17, 2013 Author Report Posted October 17, 2013 I really appreciate the help and tips guys. Will definitely get there 30-45 minutes early so I can get the test runs in. Another question I listen to a lot of Decaf music so do I just pick a song and demo or is there any songs out there you guys recommend. My enclosure is tuned to 33Hz. 2001 Chevy Blazer LS Kenwood KDC-HD552U 2 12" SDC 2.5 D4 Fi SP4 18" 4 Sundown SA-12's HiFonics BE 1200.1 Soundstream RUB1.2500D Looking for a 5k XS Power D3100 4 Soundqubed 6.5's (Pro Audio) 2 Soundqubed 3-Way 6.5's 2 Soundqubed Super Tweeters
Kyblack76 Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 Depends on the comp bro. A 30 second run, or a one time pull. The comp, depends. Also, where your "tuned" means almost nothing of where you peak.... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
