Swordlordboy1234
22 city, 31 highway. 96 accord with about 300lbs of boom and tools at all times with a 200 amp alternator. aprox 22$ a week on fuel if i run the AC 24/7 and always boom everywhere. I hope a 270 amp alternator doesnt hurt it too much more. Chris Hammer
05 GMC Canyon Crewcab, 31" BFG tires, rest stock. Inline 4 2.8l 2wd with locker. I get about 20mpg, sometimes a little less if I drive only city, if I spend more time on the freeway it goes up. Best way to save gas is to slow down. I was getting up into the high 20's like 26-28mpg if I set cruise control at 55mph on the Fwy. Thats about 1750RPM for my truck with the larger tires and it does great. Jump up to 75-80 and it goes way down to about 20. Only makes a few minutes difference even when I drive to LA (110mi each way). So my advice is cut back on your speed, follow a Semi or something and just take it easy. IIRC my buddys jeep seemed to be geared awfully low on the freeway, like 3k RPM cruising at 65.
