exxxtrem
So what sucks about car audio. I wanted to build a super cheap system for my winter car. As cheap as possible with still being something im not ashamed of. Sony 5v head unit $97 (replaced sony that only had 2 outputs and 2v) 2 Power Acustik 4000w $218 (yes I know 8000 watts is really 2000 watts) they were the best on ebay for being fused the highest. Amperage = Wattage 6 Hi-fonics 12s hfx12d4 $210 (were the best sub I could find for the money.... were even cheaper than pyle and bootleg brands) ------------------ Total $525 For radio 6 subs and 2 amps!!!!! Great Deal!!!!! Now the part that blows 160 amp alternator $180 0 guage wiring $ 50 Rca's twisted $ 30 2 3 Farad caps $ 70 Kinetik Battery $120 Bass processor $ 35 -------------- Total $485 Same as my subs and amps damit! Dam budget build. Im not gonna count the fiberglass and mdf and foam and dyno mat. Will suck that up as me and my dam ideas

Kevin M
So are you building an IB setup like N8 mentioned? If so all you need is a stout baffle. Mine weighs around 100 lbs. You will need to seal the sides and the rear deck. If you don't it will sound like ass. I did 3 18" but had to get rid of my backseat. I don't see why 6 12" couldn't work. Question is how those hifonics would work in an IB config. 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
