Why not have one big port? instead of wasting time and wood making a bunch of smaller ones?

Do I said 1.75 oer sub and .25 for port. Per sub. So my ports are 2x12x16

Now lets add the mdf thickness

2.75x13.5x15.25

.32 cu ft per sub

why not just make one big port instead of 6 little ones?

with that many subs you will have to go sealed. .32 per sub minus bracing and sub misplacement you are looking at like maybe .20 per sub

Do not buy planet audio/hifonics/boss ect. You are NOT getting your money worth.

Bad efficiency

More heat

More current draw

Bad thermal compound on the mosfets

Cheap mosfets

Cheap caps

Easy as shit to clip your subs

Easy as shit to go up in smoke < I have seen it happen many times Sewell as others on this forum

Not so vibration resistant

You will be lucky to get 80% rated power AT 5>%thd and I mean damn lucky!

If you buy a soundqubed it will surly outlast a shit ton of woofers and it will be more friendly on your alternator.

But if you buy boss/planet audio/audiopipe/hifonics it is a damn near 50/50 chance your amp will go before you swap another sub. And I am speaking from 10 years/8hrs a day/6 days a week experience

Ok. So im gonna make a comment that is gonna start shit.

What are we basing a good sub amp by?

I will say a cheaper amp can sound muddy not as crisp... affects your highs way more than subs.

If we wanted perfect sound wed still use class ab amps on bass.. but we were all good with losing clarity to pick up that aditional class d wattage..

So I ask the famous question where do we draw the line good and bad.

Will a cheap amp with the gains down a little as a good amp with gain up.. sure

I run all class D and I have a super clear system times have changed bro
