Im pretty sure the alpine has a more sophisticated system tat prevents you from just grounding it out, hence the bypass module

if it will work on the new pioneers with the gyroscope im sure its worth a shot with the alpine... save you some money

You can't just ground it out. It requires a latching relay type action to trigger the unit.

The yellow and blue and the pink and black are for the video.

The white and brown are for remote turn on of other componets.

You can bypass it with a PAC TR-7 module.

so the black isnt a ground?

kenwoods you can wire to a fuse to give it that lil signal it needs. some pioneers need to get bypassed on the head unit itself (like the avic series), but all alpines i've seen need a module, or some more complicated way where you gotta park it, flip a switch, push a brake, flip the switch again, or somethin stupid along those lines. the module is your best bet

its illegal no matter what, but just close it if u get pulled over

I've 5 cars with an Alpine flip. I've been pulled over countless times, and not once have I ever been harassed about my video deck. The in-laws even have one in their truck with no issues.

Now if you go around actin a fool then thats different.

we got pulled over in yuba for havin it out, radio wasnt even on, movie wasnt even loud... gave us a "warning" and said its illegal to have that out in the front seats as a hazard to the driver
