Sethorama
When you just press on the 1 side, you are causing the coil to tilt. The suspension on that sub is not that stiff to prevent you from doing that. Can you shine a flashlight in the gap vents in the bottom of the sub and see if you can see even spacing between the coil and the pole. Its hard to capture a picture as the vents are small and im using a iphone.. heres that noise i was talking about when poking. but it all looks even.. tacomaguy1
If it doesn't do it when playing, its fine. Play the sub free air and see what it does Quote Team Flex Issues

CJ18
What I am thinking is that if it rubs no matter what is that maybe a shim could have gotten left in.
Sethorama
Yea it does it everytime when im close to that area. What are your recommendations on what to do.?
tacomaguy1
Do what I said.....play it out of box and se if it rubs. If it does while playing, either live with it or see about the warranty Quote Team Flex Issues

kingsuv
If it does not make noise on free air then I wouldn't worry about it. No matter what there will be a variance in tolerance from sub to sub. Not only will there be a slight difference in coil thickness but also gap in the motors. Anyone who has spent any time re-coning subs will tell you that no sub gap is perfectly round. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
