One Way Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Hey ray, I've been wondering this for a while. I have the kenwood x895 and when adjusting my crossovers and frequencies on the deck, there is this option called "center frequency point" and it let's u adjust each component idvidually: like for bass mids and highs. Is the "center frequency point" a cutoff point like a crossover? Or do I adjust it to the middle of each component. Like example for mids, if the frequency range is 80hz-500hz do I put the center frequency point exactly in the middle like around 300hz or so and then adjust the bandwidth with the q factor settings? I'm confused. T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/

scooter99 Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Hey Ray, does a box at 1.66 net cubes and an aero port of 4" x 15" sound right at 34hz? I'm not understanding ports at all. It's frustrating and if you could give me a hand that would be great. It's for a single DC 12 lvl 4. The gross volume is 2.16 cu ft btw. What I'd really like to do is dual 4" ports. But I can't figure out how to do that. Help please? Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build

Im wanting to upgrade my mids and highs, should i completly take out the bose system, and run all new speaker wire, and add a 4 channel? or is there a easier way around the bose setup? 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
Ray Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 That pbus to 1/8th jack will work. But you already have an av input on the back of the deck. It is currently rca As for the blose... The amp is under your cupholder, all speaker wire is there, and is 16awg copper. Just cut the speaker wires and extend to your new 4ch Or run all new if you want. You will lose onstar voice unless you add a small external speaker under the dash. Just tag it to the front output from the bose amp.
