oldsoundguy Posted December 14, 2016 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2016 LEDs came in the mail today and on the way home from work I picked up a couple things for the install. Relay, fuse holders and some assorted fuses. I still dont know if I will use all four LED strips or not but I wanted to do things right so that is why I chose to install the relay. I know that if in the future I want to run a fan for the amp or anything else I will have the correct wiring. Now I just need to get the sub wired up, holes drilled in the back side of the box for the aluminum bolts for the speaker wires and get the LEDs wired up. They are shipping a new one out today. They are refunding my return shipping in store credit. Thats fine with me. Now I can do a comparison of the soundqubed and DC audio 8" subs. Still no time to work on getting the box installed yet. He replied to an email I had sent a few weeks ago about box specs but it was sent to his spam. Anyway I gave him the specs of the box then sent a pic and he thought it was pretty nice. He asked if he could share it on the DC FB page. oldsoundguy Posted December 16, 2016 Author Report Share Posted December 16, 2016 Was able to get off work about an hour early so I had time to work on the box. I was able to get the LED's wired and installed, wired up the relay, wired up and loaded the subwoofer. It should be installed and playing tomorrow. I just need to solder a connector onto the 12v switch source and get power and ground of the relay connected. Now its time for Thursday night football watching my Seahawks play the Rams. I sure hope they play better than Sunday DAMN that was hard to watch. Sounds good but really havent done a real test yet just a little playing in the driveway. I tried to take a vid of it playing but when I am bluetooth to my phone and start taking a vid the music shuts off. Stupid phone. I will try when my wife gets home.
