Blown kicker 8L7, just beat the f out of it Blown orion 15h2, dont know why. Blown Treo ssx18, beat the f out of it Blown orion 2500d, running 0.5ohm for 6 solid years, amp became tired and it self-destruction. Eclipse cd5000 broken, running for 8 years, stopped working. oh sweet burnt coil smell. Ozim Posted January 3, 2014 Report Share Posted January 3, 2014 They were all clipped to death from a bad H/U sending clipped signal randomly so you never knew it was clipped till it was too late, sadly though i had to go through all of those and still wasn't able to find the cause till the h/u went bad and got a replacement, and have yet to blow another sub. Oh shit, maybe that explain why my 15h2 blown? darkjds Posted January 3, 2014 Report Share Posted January 3, 2014 - 2 kenwood kfc-w3013ps 12s over excursion n power, ripped the spiders n fried the vc after- Soundstream rubicon 4.600 the thing just went up in smoke for no reason- Rockford Fosgate T2652-S T2 melted the crossovers n burnt the tweeters guess they didnt like 300 watts a pop- lots of cheap pyle super tweeters by overpowering them Current Setup: , 2 Fi sp4 18s in a big ass flat wall tuned to 23hz, Pioneer 80prs, 2 Digital Designs m3bs strapped @ 2 ohms, Banda ICE2000, Crescendo 800.4, 4 PRV 10MR1000s,4 Mclaren MLT300 Super Tweeters Kinetik 2000 XS Power 2700 & XS Power 3100s. (under half gain, 60/250 lpf, 0BB, 35/35 SSF to prevent anything from going wrong, but still did).. Was reading 13.7 on battery. Alpine thumbs down. It's about to get QUIET. MrBigs63' Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 Me and one of my close friends blew a Kicker Comp 12. We had it in a 3.4 cube box tuned in the dirty thirties. I think it was somewhere around 30.6hz with 42in^2 of port. When it blew the sub was running on about 750 watts. It ripped the spider off of the spider landing. Ahmed Johnson Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 I burnt up some Vm audio subs on a brz1200. The subs lasted 20 mins. I smelled the coil but said fuck it.
