Get it sometimes for short periods, or after shows(concerts) and some other times. It sounds really stupid but I get it and I actually talk to myself for a second (especially if its at night and there is no one around)...some reason hearing my voice it stops...works almost every time.

Hearing tested above normal when I went to MEPS, lady there even made a comment....and I thought I missed some of the tones lol

I don't have it constantly. But it will randomly start while I am doing nothing and is annoying. It will eventually just stop thinking about it and it goes away over a period of time.

I have to use hearing protection for work and thus my work does a hearing check (sound proof booth thing etc.) once a year. so far so good as far as my hearing checking out ok every year. We make ALL types of ear plugs though and work encourages us to bring as much home as we need, so I got LOTS at home, use them for shooting guns (range type shooting) sometimes working in the shop, sometimes even mowing the yard. I don't care what people say, it's MY hearing and I would hate to lose it. I guess I was unaware that it was more common that I though (from reading this thread).

Mine is only in my left ear, only time I notice it is in around bed time. Esp if I have earphones in and play the music semi loud even for a few minutes. I usually sleep with my TV on (put it on to sleep in an hour lol), helps to not notice it. It comes and goes, IDK what triggers it exactly but I believe it is caused by my TMJ disorder
