The A Team put a XL on like 34k+ DC 18 modded XL SPL motor: 157.2 dB on 27.3 watts 172.4 dB on 1355 watts 175.1 dB on 3051 watts 177.3 dB on 6976 watts this is the closest matched power to testing the DD9918z which did 177.2 on 7777 watts. 178.3 dB on 34,586 watts (paper cone limited at a 178 before it folds, score does not represent peak score on given power) edit: if you use 1500rms as the rms for that sub, which it doesnt have one, but that is +2300% rated power of a regular XL Yeah...I think you win. Before my truck was stolen I was running two Zv3s on two CT Sounds 1400.1s strapped at .5Ω. Don't know what the actual power was because I've not seen a dyno with the 1400 at a half ohm but at 1Ω they're about 1000 watts over the Zs rms. Those subs never, ever, not even once, got so much as warm. Currently I am running an SA-15 on a CT Sounds 1400.1 in my wife's van and that sub has been on a Bxi-1610 for a few months in the past. The coil on the SA will get stinky relatively quick when playing hard but at moderate volumes, it does fine.
