I for sure would run nothing less than 91 in that thing.

I mean if you do the math it's only a few dollars more per tank to run premium.

I'm spoiled Here too and can get 100 ocante unleaded at the pump from a station near my work and 94 octane at one near my house.

Have you noticed any spark knock running the 89?

off topic, but in that S/C mustang I put together, we noticed knock going from 91 to 93. Plugs were gapped and the tuned was set up just for 91 though, and it was a colder night than usual, but still. Scary shit when you are cramming 8lbs of boost into something and you start popping up some serious spark knock at 4000rpm.

once it warms up after winter, 12lb pulley is going in and e85 is going to be the choice fuel :) should be close to 800rwhp.

did you guys upgraded the injectors and fuel pump? Only way I'd do high boost is if it has intercooler. No intercooler I would stay at 5-7 lb of boost or lower my compression a few points to run 10-12 lb of boost.

Vpower all the way here.. Little more expensive but for a couple extra bucks im getting 50+ more miles per tank and car drives solid

sometimes Loud is NOT pretty

Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.

I haven't noticed any fuel mileage difference between octane

Seen a video of the testing and showed that a car made to run on 87 octane actually spent more fuel when running premium it also polluted the air more. Should look it up. As for me I tried it and I got same mileage no matter the octane

Mod motors don't work well with low compression, stock pistons with ported heads is about the lowest you want to run. Race fuel is all but necessary.

I guess it depends from motor.. I once put premium to 2000 accord 2.3l I used to have and I made way less miles than on regular..

Paxton Novi 2200 kit, IDMax ID1000 injectors, Boost-a-Pump, and yes it was intercooled. at 90* air temperature, IAT's floated around 105*. Mind you it's a bone stock, unopened Coyote motor. Come December, if price of oil comes back up, motor is getting torn into and a boss crank is getting thrown in along with some other forged bottom end parts, some mild head work, billet oil pump gears, and a Boss Intake manifold. Along with the 12lb pulley. Motor should be capable of holding 1000hp all day long. Trans is getting swapped from an MT-82 to either a T56 magnum or a 6R80 automatic with billet intermediate shaft and kevlar clutch packs.
