Great Watt Per Dollar Amp

Also, thanks for the explanation of the electrical and port bit. I always thought high AND low could cause "chuffing". I just try to hit as close to 36.5 m/s in the port as possible. I do have solid electrical. I just have managed to word about 11 posts like I have half a brain. Which isn't too far out of the realm of possibility...

Nah man, it's cuz of the bass.

you are almost at a dead short. No amp will play that low. You will still see your starting load the second your amps are turned on and at any point that they are at rest. I believe that on a certain part of the woofers throw it will also see the starting impedence. Impedence rise is not hte answer here. The lowest I've ever seen an amp turn on was an orion 2500d. at .175. And you had to roll into it very slowly. Burp only

Whats your electrical like.

If you do an aq3500 its

350 amps at 1 ohm

about 700 at .5 and climbinging steadily each time you cut your resistance. What do you think that will be like when you are that low? If you don't have the electrical for all your 5500s you dont have the electrical to try this either. You can pull the protect and that will guarantee that this thing roasts.

BTW Ive been working on my truck for 4 years. IT's still nto done. Some things are worth the wait.

Yeah... My wording throughout the post has been pretty shitty, to be honest... I'm not sure I understand the difference between the m1 and m1u.

Sorry if i came off as a cock. But, .. it happens a lot here.

So, ... I apologize also.

The B2's we run are the M1s .. 2 strapped at .5 nominal, we could not make it work.

Wired up, and the fuckers pound 2 lev 6m2's.

just what we found

Don't worry about it. I'm sure I came off like a cock too. Was really not tryina. Do you mean 2 of the m1s amp, or 2 of the m1 amp?

Nah man, it's cuz of the bass.

Electrical, as it stands, is out for repair. I still have 6 kinetik HC 2400's in, as well as an 1800. But I have 0 alts, so the truck is just sitting. I'm going to have 1-3 singer 350's depending on when the bracket gets in (triple alts on a TB 4.2l are a BITCH). Old was 2 mechman 250's, then 1, now none.

Note: once again I've fucked up. I am about to drop a 250 back in. It has been un-running for 2 days. Not gonna be sitting for more than another day or so.

Nah man, it's cuz of the bass.

Also to help a little more with port area, take these into consideration.

Maximum usable velocity varies with flare radius.

There is a limiting velocity for any given diameter port, regardless of flare radius.

Larger diameter ports have a higher usable velocity than smaller ports.

Port performance varies with frequency.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
