Joe X
You would need around 60+ square inches of port area for a slot, likely will need to turn at the bottom.

alaskanzx5
a slot port on the top going from one side to the other (full width of the box) would be narrow to avoid to much port area and that can create issues with port noise. making it the full width and wider might not be possible due to the needed length to get the tuning down to where you want it. the length might be to much and not exactly possible to achieve. like the port turning up towards the sub along the baffle would be a bad idea. I would stick with aero ports. easy to install and less port displacement. also makes it quick and easy to change out ports for a different tuning freq. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. KiKaZz74
Thank you very much joe. Damn. Im thinking aero now that ive seen that. Cuz sub will be offset to the right due to seating. I want it directly behind my seat to avoid jackasses running something into it from center console. And to avoid that rubbing on it. I planned on putting amps on that far side but if a port is there idk. Maybe one on top and the other on side or the front opposite of the sub? Or could I do port on top and bend it if I had a 90° joint? Might be getting to deep in this or overthinking it. Im just kinda confused is all And thats what I figured withe the full width port. Couldnt get close in torres at all so I figgured it wasnt gonna work. alaskanzx5
port to driver side has proven good on setups like this. maybe put the sub amp on the front to where you can see it between the seats? then the mid/high amp on top. would make them viewable to show them off. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Jhunt94
What u mean to driver side? On top or side? Im just getting lost. Thanks for bearing with me guys. I'm pretty sure he means the port on the side, fired towards the driver's side. I had a box similar to that with a 4" aero port on the top and I liked the way it sounded. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. RooTxBeeR
I would say get a CT 1400. These subs are rated at 1250 of I'm not mistaken, and knowing sundown I'm sure these can take more than that.
