Smoove
Well CleanSierra, I will just wait till you get back in town. I am not going to polish the Metallic blue in the port. Only the white on front. AMI Customs, are you saying to use the Liquid ice in place of something like scratch out? P.S. And no coors while you supervise. Cameronmyers74
I use a cut polish right after wet sanding, like Norton Liquid Ice Extra Cut I have used this stuff! it is an amazing product! and usually can be had for cheaper than buying 3m compound. See with 3M you had to use three different compounds and three different pads, as opposed to the norton stuff, you start with a wool pad, then go to a white pad, and then a blue plad, or it may be blue and then white. And if I still had my photobucket account with my autobody pictures I would show you:/

Ritch40
i also like the 3M line of compounds and polish's. I have tried other products over the years and time after time i always get my best results with 3M
somebodyelse
I used to polish spray paint all the time as a kid, I could make a paper towel roll look loke glass. All I ever did was spray let dry spray let dry etc, and when I had enough I would wet sand until dull then spray let dry and wet sand and repeat until all marks and low spots are gone. Once i had a perfect dull layer (no marks or low spots) after wet sanding I would apply one final layer of paint and let dry... then clear. IIRC I never used anything coarser than 800grit I recall staying aroung 1500 or 1600 i think. Trick to this is letting all the accelerants in the paint evaporate before adding more layers of paint, letting layers dry in between is key here. Otherwise you get haze or cracking or some other weird happenings.
