1 Run or 2 ?

Recommended Posts

i would do 2 runs ofc, 4-5kw is a lot of juice. dont forget that wire becomes more resistant with heat from the engine compartment. ANd, i wouldt run that much on a small stocker alt.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

no problem. keep us updated. specially me. would like to see what your voltage looks like with your electrical since I plan to use 2 of the same amps.

exactly. just because the amps will pull a lot of power doesn't mean it will get it.

just need to make sure your runs can handle what your alt can put out.

Straight from Rockford the t1500.1bdcp pulls an average of 100 amps.

They asst going to update the info in their website to include the average power draw of the amps to by the way. Thanks to me asking them about the average that the t1500.1bdcp pulls and asking if they could provide that info for all their amps.

Honestly i just got what you guys are saying... If the alt i get is 270amp and my wire can handle 300amps i should be fine with the single run, right ? I have rockford 0ofc im guessing its good wire. Ill keep you updated, hope to have my alt next week or so..

Yeah basically, the amps will try to pull the power they want but can only get what is available.

Rockford ofc is good for 300 amps if I remember right.

Just remember though that people with similar of amount of power has seen slightly better voltage full tilt with 2 runs. My thought in that is because with 2 runs you have more write to dissipate the heat cursed by the power draw making them mite efficient.

Also Rockford recommends a 100 amp alt or bigger for the t1500.1bdcp. IMO if you car needs say 50 amps and you plan on running 2 t1500.1bdcp then you would need a 250 amp alt to support the car and amps needs.
