Stephen13 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Don't waste your money on lead-free solder. It's a PITA to use. I've been soldering for over 45 years and I hate the stuff. Should i hammer crimp the end a bit after im done soldering for a little extra protection NO. Hammer crimp is useless. It's a horrible connection, the solder itself will be stronger then the wire. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
