8 12" on 800 watts rms

Recommended Posts

This question has been bugging the crap out of me today. What if you had 8, 12" running at 800 watts in series? So about 100 watts per sub. Lets say hypothetically we had all of this is in a correctly tuned ported box. What kind of SPL levels would you get from this? This sort of leads me to my next venture in ideas. When you have two subs in two different boxes outputting 120db each individually, when you play them at the same time what would the resulting SPL be in a mid sized car? I know I am getting into the physics behind it, but there are no answers I can find easily.

120db + 120db obviously equals 240dbs. But seriously no one can really tell you. Your going to have to be a lot more specific for us to even make a reasonable guess about how loud it will be.
