MrSkippyJ
that shouldn't introduce any clipping, but that doesn't mean the music wasn't already clipped. But, that shouldn't be any different than if you played it from the CD 1 Quote F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69

ChevyBoy95
What power and what is your enclosure like? Mine never got stinky. Level 3's on a DC 2k. dual 2's with strapped 3.5k's in a box that Rusty gave me specs for, it is tuned to 36hz So, you're wired to 1 per amp? If so, that would be why they're stinky lol. after rise there is know way their actually getting 3500 watts... I just went with the subs rusty recommended. I know its not power issue, it is clipping issue. keep talking about rise when your playing music.... lol 1 Quote Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/
gr8handogoatness
If I have CD music and put it on a Flash drive am i good as far as the music quality stand point? If you bought an album and then want to rip it onto the computer then it depends on the rip quality. 320kbs is probably what you should rip it at. The sound quality might be worse, but it should hurt equipment. Thanks for all the help everyone. Edited March 7, 2014 by YukonDCXL
Karkov
Thanks guys, wasn't trying to stray on thread but I feel it followed the same issue. Also, I did buy the music (Chicken hill, E-40, Psych Morrison, etc.) Although I did download all Decaf and Purple Syrup music so not too sure about that but I was mainly referring to the actually bought music as I was just curious since it wasn't actually me loading a disc. into my player (it skips with CD's anyways). SnowDrifter
I like to set my gain car on, subs plugged in for a load on the amp. Also: set gains using whatever source you plan on playing your music through. Whether it be iPod, cd, phone, thumb drive, etc 1 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Wicks
FWIW, I can slam on mine for quite a while and they play fine. As soon as I turn up the Sub Level and notice a bit of clipping on my O-scope, shortly afterwards I'll start smelling coil. If you can smell them, its most likely clipping.
