dharris2488
Well I looked under my hood and all the alt says is "dr44" is there any way to find out how many amps it puts out? It's prolly not big enough for what you are trying to do. Yes, it will play, but you are prolly going to run into clipping problems from low voltage. At bare minimum, I would get a new battery under the hood and a secondary battery in the back. Upgrade Big 3 and install a voltage meter of some kind so you can see what's going on. That will tell you if you need a HO alternator, which most likely you will (I'm running around 1700RMS and I went ahead and upgraded to a 240a HO alt., HUGE DIFFERENCE). I'm no expert at this by any means, so if someone who has more knowledge than me wants to chime in, go for it. As mentioned above, any of those subs will work, although if i had my pick and was on a budget, I would go SoundQubed. Solid sub for the money and will handle every watt your Memphis can throw at it. If it were me, I would address electrical first, then either build or find someone to build a solid enclosure, then install the system. Not advisable to work backwards after you have already damaged your amp and sub. SirJimbles
Well this past Friday i bought the dc level 5. I will be running zero gauge through-out including the big three. Also, i'll have a battery in the back (not sure what battery though. input on this would be greatly appreciated). i'm building my own box so I could also use a design if someone could be so nice. thanks.
