And yes your alternator does determine charging voltage. its called a voltage regulator. 15 volts is just what XS calls for at a temp of 50f (obviously the engine will warm up and not be 50 for long). and btw starting voltage is what the voltage is with the car off, get it, its the amount of voltage used to START the car and charging voltage is with the alternator producing a current to the battery, and for your info a alt does charge a battery. If your battery is barely charged enough to start your car and you let it run for 15 minutes, guess what your alt will charge the battery. I though you guys would be smarter, I dont need a lesson on the things I already know, would like experience from someone with this battery. replys like that wont get you very far on this message board......just sayin. i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. If you had lets say a Mechman alt it would charge around I think 14.4v but you can get a voltage booster module like Steve has on both is cars. He has his set to 15.0v. It depends on the alt but yes your battery is charging.

Amart88 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 All of my XS batts rest at 12.87v always did. My alt charges at 15.2 cold and drops to 14.6-14.9 hot. I don;t see your problem. A 12 volt battery will not rest higher than 13v. Anything over that is residual. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

I have a Mechman alternator and at start up my battery charges around 14.3V and as the alt and battery warms up then it will charge around 13.7-14.0V. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab.
