bassman619
So I know the dd1 is designed for use with the cd that comes with it to detect distortion at the normal recording level of a cd..but I normally use my ipod as my music source and I was wondering if I could rip the tracks of the smd tone cd to my itunes, sync them onto my ipod and instead of using the cd toplay the tracks to do gain setting just use the ipod. Is this possible? Would it be safe for my amps and drivers? Any downfall of doing it this way Quote You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
dangaranga
You have to make sure when the cd is ripped, no EQ's are applied and the tones aren't altered and keep the ipod EQ flat. Also rip in the best quality you can Edit: Are you using the usb cable or aux cable? DubNDodge
Yes you can. Are you using the Aux input on your HU or something else like bluetooth or the usb cable? I know with ipods, they get really dirty at max volume through the Aux port. I always turned it down to 3/4 volume and tuned it from there, and also kept my music at 3/4 Quote '01 Dodge Stratass Sealed Trunk Build Log 2008 Honda Fit Sport Build Log On 10/3/2013 at 10:00 AM, ROLEXrifleman said: Anyone who says they knew everything they wanted out of life at 19 can go suck a bag of dicks cause they are lying to themselves or brought up in a cult. hdorre
I use the 30 pin dock connector and the files off of Tonys website. On the iPhone/Pod/Pad/whatever.. Turn off its EQ and soundcheck.. I did some testing and my DD1 had trouble detecting with those on.
