I would offer to buy it at a reduced price from your father and buy all the necessary parts and fix it yourself or have someone you know that can work on cars do it for you.

that's the problem we can't find anyone who will fix it because of the mess the guy left l. You pop the hood and you see a variety of nuts and bolts and you can see the pistons. In the backseat you see all the timing gears and chains...the radiator was through in the front...a giant mess.
