bumpinTL364
To speak to the power handling of soundqubed subs, I'm running an HDS212 on 1200watts daily (it's a 600rms 1200 peak sub) and never have I smelled coil or even gotten the dust cap warm enough to think I should turn it down or stop demoing. masterbation is free, and even saves you money.sorry but someone had to say itsorry, Jimmy...beat you to it (no pun intended) LOLDON'T get a wife. Best advice I never got, and now it's too late My build: 12" DCON in a dorm room. DubNDodge
HDS300s are back in stock. Saw a post from Soundqubed on FB. I would personally go HDC3 and then grab another one down the road. I have had the HDS300 and I am not all that impressed going from a 2.5" coil to a 3" coil. I was slightly clipping my sdc2.5s, and when I upgraded to the HDS300s they handled the slight clipping the same as the sdc2.5s if not worse then 2.5s. Both would start to smell after 15minutes full tilt. Needless to say I had the sdc2.5s for over a year NO issues. I had the HDS300s and within two months one of my coils started to unwind. Go HDC, you'll be much more pleased. CodyLucente
I had the ct 1400 running a HDC3 12" dual 2 ohm wired to .05 ohm daily and it slammed. Amp never got hot and sub never smelled. That's the amp i have and i wasn't sure if at 0.5 ohm if it was to much power for that sub daily i only have a 125 amp alt but i do have dual batt's so electrical is not really a problem for the amount of power that a single 1200 im using and i just bought a DD-1 so i know im not going to clip a sub to death anymore. CodyLucente
why not 2 hds310 or hdc310 or 12 i like the tone of the 12's better than the 10's and i figured if i had a single sub that a 15 would give me more punch than a single 12 and the hdc 112's are sold out hds 312's are sold out hdc 315's are in ------ And a 15 is in stock vs the 12's Subs= SoundQubed HDC3.112 Amps= Audio Technix1200.1, Sony XM4x40 & Clarion XC1410 Rear= Pioneer 6"x9" coaxial Front= Polk 6 1/4 componants Trunk Lid= Pioneer 6 1/4 coaxil Battery= Optima Yellow-top (front) Shrunken 35AH Wire= 0/2 AWG welding Cable!
