Recommended Posts

Got a shit ton done today...finally! Installed some second skin in the trunk, got the signal wiring tied into the OEM harness, sub speaker cable run, all wires cleaned up, everything back together and even installed the sub. Pics coming later, gotta run out now.

Ok, here are the pics from this weekend...

Stripped out the carpet...

So I could install some of this...

Getting some deadener installed...

Tied into the OEM harness for inputs...I like to use the Raychem Soldergrip Butt Connectors, best of both worlds and a little shortcut..

I spliced 1 at a time...had to identify Front from Rear and left from Right...There are 2 obvious input cables for the OEM system, but no marking whether it was Left/Right cables or Front/Rear cables. So as I cut a set of wires, I went back and turned car on and radio to see which speaker wasnt playing.

All wires tied together and bundled up

Put all carpet back in and installed the subwoofer

Sub gets pushed as far back as possible into the trunk..this is looking from the cabin into the trunk

I need to take some additional pics of what got finished Sunday...amp and cleansweep are in, everything wired up, finished the battery connections...all that's left is to drop the fuses in, verify power, then run the calibration and set the amp. I'll take those pics today.

Anyone ever have this happen...I was connecting battery wire to SHCA fuse holder and moving the fuse holders into position and the stud ripped right through the bottom

Stupid sun and crappy camera phone don't mix. I'll get better pics later with a real camera.

Here is a trim plate just roughed in. Still have some finishing to do plus some other trim panels.

Lol..it IS louder! I'm not at the same level of "basshead" as most folks on here, but this gets a WOW from me. My previous setup was an Adire Audio Shiva 12" sealed on 300 ish watts. That sub is like night and day with the new sub. Of course, I'm talking DC Audio 12" and 800W now. Ha Ha

I plan on a video...maybe Saturday.
